About Us
The Finglas Support & Suicide Prevention Network (FSN) was established in 2004 in response to the impact of suicide on the Finglas community. Founded by local volunteers and community organisations, we are committed to promoting positive mental health, preventing suicide, and ensuring that people experiencing emotional distress can access the support they need.
Working in partnership with statutory, voluntary, and community organisations, FSN takes a community-led approach to mental health promotion and suicide prevention. We help connect individuals and families with appropriate services while working to reduce stigma and encourage early intervention.
Prevention is at the heart of our work. We deliver evidence-informed theraputic 1 to 1 psychotherapy to individuals who seek support, and suicide prevention and mental health awareness training for community groups, schools, workplaces, sports clubs, and local organisations, helping people recognise when someone may be struggling and respond with confidence and compassion.
Through education, awareness, collaboration, and community engagement, we are working towards a Finglas where everyone feels connected, supported, and empowered to look after their mental health and wellbeing.
Our mission is to reduce suicide in Finglas and nearby areas by promoting mental wellness and instilling hope in our community.
FSN was initially established to address the growing issue of suicide rates, but our mission extends beyond suicide prevention. We are here to offer support during both crisis and non-crisis situations. If our organization cannot provide a specific service, we are committed to guiding you to the most suitable resources and organizations that can assist you in your particular situation.
“Find help, find hope, find the support you've been looking for...
